For the past 19 years, Karate Kids Canada has provided an exceptional program of fitness, character education and Martial Arts instruction to elementary school students. The program has run in over 250 elementary schools across several school boards and runs in approximately 100 schools each year.
This cost effective, one day per week, lunch hour program brings non-contact Martial Arts to children right in their own school. For approximately one third of the cost of regular Karate lessons, instructors provide the Karate Kids program to children who may not otherwise be able to afford or attend regular after school Martial Arts Centers.
To ensure that no children are excluded, Karate Kids provides full scholarships to those students who have the desire to learn but not the financial means. This year over 350 students took advantage of our scholarship program. ($87,500 in program fees taken care of by Karate Kids Canada. We are working towards increasing that number every year!)
The Karate Kids program is taught by responsible and professional instructors that make our specialized curriculum a fun way to promote fitness. We focus on developing positive character traits such as confidence, listening skills, and respect. Unlike many other sports that may be intimidating for some children, the Karate Kids program is a fun fitness activity where children can develop skills at their own pace.
