Ms. Caramanna and Ms. Dissanayake鈥檚 class presents the meaning behind cherry blossoms. Every year during this time, many celebrate the beloved tradition of going to High Park to catch a glimpse of the beautiful cherry blossom trees. These trees were donated by the Japanese Ambassador in 1959 as a gift to the citizens of Toronto for their support of Japanese- Canadian refugees after World War II. This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淚gniting the Hope鈥� is most appropriate as we as Christians are called upon more than ever to provide love, hope and support to our communities and the world.

Giving Back to Sophia means good people working with other good people in order to accomplish and do extraordinary things. Sophia is very involved in both her school and community.
